Just like last year the KUZ-huis arthouse, together with the Historical Society and INOVA primary school, organised an afternoon filled with poetry and music at the Kindertransport monument ‘Channel Crossing to Life’. Last year it was held on a Saturday, in 2026 it was on a Sunday. Between 14.00 en 16.00 hours 16 poets, 6 INOVA students. 3 musicians and a historian brought the monument to life and moved around 50 interested people to think about war and peace.

Eight of the poems were about the Kindertransports. We have made recordings of these poems. To play them click on the title of the poem underneath. The event was made possible by CultuurConcreet.
